Today, Smiley’s Nonprofit Inc. celebrates two years of joy, dignity, and community impact. Since our founding on August 17th, 2024, we have grown from a simple act of kindness into a year‑round organization serving children, families, and neighbors across Kansas City, Kansas.
Through our Four Pillars of Joy — Smiley’s Backpacks, Smiley’s Share the Warmth, Smiley’s Lunchbox, and Smiley’s Bundle of Joy — we continue to build programs rooted in dignity, consistency, and care. Each pillar reflects our belief that every family deserves support, every child deserves opportunity, and every neighbor deserves to feel valued.
Over the past two years, Smiley’s has expanded its reach, strengthened partnerships, and deepened its commitment to community. Our programs continue to grow:
Smiley’s Backpacks — 3 years of supporting students with age‑specific backpacks
Smiley’s Share the Warmth — 3 years of providing winter essentials to neighbors
Smiley’s Lunchbox — 2 years of offering warm meals and food support
Smiley’s Bundle of Joy — 1 year of caring for mothers and babies.
Together, these programs have allowed us to serve our community with consistency, compassion, and joy. This year, we proudly celebrate a major milestone:

Every backpack, every baby essential, every warm item, and every meal reflects our promise to show up with dignity and love.
As we celebrate two years of Smiley’s Nonprofit Inc., we honor the families we serve, the partners who believe in us, and the community that inspires us. We are two years young — and just getting started.
